You read it right folks, there is such a thing as using your name and birthday for your password. I know everyone else is saying you shouldn’t use those identifiable information but if you do some nice twists, you not only have “hard to break” passwords but you don’t also run the risk of forgetting them.

We all know that blog entries look better when you post some photos to go with the text. The problem is in finding photos that would not land you into some copyright trouble. Most new bloggers simply search for photos around Google and post them directly on their blogs without proper citation or attribution. You might be able to get away with this in your first few months but as your readership increases, so are your chances of getting found out.

There are already a lot of blogs written about using web safe fonts so I prefer not to add to the chaos of long and winding explanations about typography and browser compatibility. For beginners and seasoned designers alike, I only have one tip in choosing fonts for your blog: Readability Over Cuteness. Just because you like a certain font doesn’t mean that you should use it in your blog.

If you’re like me, you’re most likely to go ahead and experiment with HTML codes before reading anything about it. It’s like shooting first and asking questions later. Not a good idea for beginners and I don’t recommend this to anyone. In my case, I ended up misplacing lots of codes and literally butchering my theme before I searched around for help.

The truth is that there are so many successful bloggers out there who have yet to learn all the nerdy stuff about building websites and yet they are doing great with their blogging. Lack of technical know-how should never stop you from writing for your targeted audience.
